WHY DONATE?

1 in 10 babies require admission to a Newborn Intensive Care Unit( NICU). In the Caribbean basin and Latin America, anywhere from 2.3-24 babies die per 1000 born alive before 28 days of age.* Most of these babies are born too soon. We work collaboratively with local medical teams and governments to improve the care delivered to newborn infants in these countries through providing support for the purchase of necessary life-saving equipment, training of medical, nursing, biomedical and allied staff as required, and supporting the resilience of healthcare teams and NICU families, to reduce the Neonatal Mortality rate to < 12/1000 live births. This aligns with the third of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

The Caring for Miracles Foundation is a non-profit organisation created to ensure that all newborns are given an optimal start in life. In addition to fundraisers to fill important gaps including equipment, the foundation hosts educational events for healthcare professionals and the public, parent support groups and more.
